Pel Georg is not exactly a pseudonym for this author. His real name is Pelopidas Georgiadis, a Greek native.

The Arnold Pel pseudonym, to be used initially, when the first two books of the Charles Grey series were firstly written in Greek, was abandoned, when the author decided to self-publish the books in English and re-wrote the books under his own translation.

As he had put it: “My biggest teacher of an espionage book, speaking about conspiracies and all that, was – and always will be - Robert Ludlum”. And then he hurries to add: “But I wanted to add the technological thriller element of Tom Clancy stories and enhance the lot with action and andenture elements of a James Bond movie, of Special Army Units’ tactics, like in the books of Brad Thor, Ben Coes, Jack Silkstone, to name a few, plus bring a certain new element to bind the lot. That element, being the twist of my story, the one I speak about in the foreword of this book. I love reading various kinds of books. Combine a lot of elements, when I write, too”.

Mr. Georgiadis was born in Athens, Greece, in 1967. He studied Business Administration, holding a B.Sc and an MBA on the same field, majoring in Marketing He also studied Computer Programming. His work experience varies, as he had been working as an IT Administrator in a privately owned hospital, as a Product Manager in a famous Greek Internet Service Provider firm, as a Business Consultant, through his own firm and as a Commercial Agent of major exporting Far East firms and manufacturers, through a family owned business.

Most of his life, he has enjoyed writing many kind of stories, short ones and novels, varying from fishing adventures, to action thrillers, action adventures, science fiction adventures and other espionage action adventures, but never gone public. He has also written a major exotic car encyclopedia, which he plans to publish on-line, as a freeware publication.

“Factor Unknown” is the first book he is publishing, under a self-publicing effort. It is the first book, of a series, with agent Charles Grey, as the main character.

As a person of many hobbies, Pel Georg makes a lot of references to all that and uses his experience in various fields to build his story up. You’ll see (or probably already done so) elements and references to motion pictures and famous lines, personal computers’ stuff and IT technology, gadgets, technology in general, guns & weapons, special forces and their tactics, martial arts, cars and their technology, novels & books of other authors, references to their famous characters and lines, comic books, animation, TV series, dog breeds, etc.

He declares that he has seen more than 2,500 major films and movies, as well as that he has read more than 500 best sellers of various types of books. Trying always to learn and delve deeper on how to write a better story, or how to “direct” the flow of a novel’s scenes.

He has been married once, divorced and now lives alone, always in Greece, in the southern suburbs of Athens, Greece’s capital.
